Pro-Earth Proclamation

The following Pro-Earth Proclamation begins from a simple reality: Earth is the material home and life-supporting foundation of humanity and all known terrestrial life. Its continued habitability is not an abstract environmental preference, but the precondition for human survival, freedom, civilization, and any meaningful long-term future. We therefore affirm a duty to identify, prevent, and hold accountable those actions that could push Earth’s living systems onto irreversible or catastrophic paths.

1. Earth is an objective reality and the material foundation of human and other life.
2. Earth is a singular planetary habitat whose continued habitability is essential to life and its future expansion into known universe as we observe it.
3. Existential threats—including ecological collapse, nuclear annihilation, and uncontrolled AGI—are unacceptable when they seriously endanger Earth’s life-supporting capacity.
4. Specific individuals, organizations, and institutions can contribute to or enable such risks and therefore can bear responsibility for them.
5. Clear, measurable thresholds and red lines should be established by futurists for specified list of actions that could place Earth life-support systems on an irreversible or catastrophic trajectory through a time delayed dynamic.
6. Those who knowingly cross defined red lines should be held accountable or stopped early enough through proportionate, clearly established legal and institutional mechanisms.
7. “Humanity” is not a single accountable actor. Responsibility belongs to identifiable individuals, organizations, governments, and institutions whose decisions and actions can be clearly established and evaluated against defined boundaries.

I'm happy if you interpret my Pro Earth Proclamation as to be effectively and pragmatically equivalent to the Pro Human Proclamation.
